Council Meetings The Barony holds monthly business meetings the 2nd Monday of every month at 6:30 PM at Round Table Pizza located at 1300 N. 40th Avenue, Yakima, WA 98908 and online (link in the event). Populace members usually begin arriving around 6:00 to socialize and eat!
Fight Practice Try your hand at armored combat! SCA Armored combat, also called “heavy combat”, is a full contact martial art where the participants wear real armor and fight with weapons made from rattan instead of steel. There are no judges or referees, all combatants are trained to acknowledge the blows that hit them in what is called “honor based combat”. Look for fight practices on our events page! We have loaner armor for those who want to try it out before committing to the sport. For more information, please email our Master of Stables.
Archery Practice Do you enjoy shooting arrows? Never shot before but interested? Want to learn to make your own bow and arrows? Our Baronial Archer is ready to help! Join them and other archers at archery practices listed on our events page!
Arts & Sciences Workshops There is an enormous variety of skills and knowledge areas under this category. This includes everything from cooking to weaving, sewing and garb making, bardic (performance arts), heraldry, archeological research and more. Check out our events page for currently scheduled workshops.
Baronial Socials These are informal events where we can just get together and enjoy each other’s company. They may range from a new member welcome event to a pot luck. Check our events page for upcoming social events.
